BMC-01 · Brand model · WCRC Brand & Marketing Codex
Brand Power Index
How powerful is our brand, overall and against rivals?
What it is
The master model. It scores the brand on all 50 parameters, rolls them into five pillar scores and one composite out of 100, and places it against five named competitors researched in the same fieldwork.
Built on the WCRC 50-parameter model · parameters used
- P1–P5All 50 parameters
Components
- Five pillar scores
- Weighted composite out of 100
- Rating band (MegaBrand at 75–80 and above)
- Gap to each of 5 peers
How it is scored
BPI = 0.28·P1 + 0.26·P2 + 0.20·P3 + 0.16·P4 + 0.10·P5, each pillar the mean of its 10 parameters on a 0–100 scale. Evidence weighted 60% primary, 25% secondary, 15% additional.
Where and when to apply
- Annual brand health review for the board
- Before a repositioning, merger or rebrand, to set the baseline
- Deciding which brands in a portfolio to invest in
Simulation · what-if
If the Consumer Trust & Sentiment pillar rises 5 points with everything else unchanged, the Brand Power Index rises 1.3 points (26% weight). Five points on Digital & Financial Soundness adds only 0.5, so trust work moves the index 2.6 times faster.
Indicative, all else unchanged. Your actual reading comes from a WCRC assessment.
