Recognition A–Z / Awards and recognition

Award editions and dates

An edition identifies the particular assessment cycle. The ceremony date, publication date and measurement period may differ, so each should remain attached to its correct event.

What to review

Check when the evidence was collected, when the decision was published and when any presentation occurred. Use the edition on badges and company announcements.

A practical example

A ceremony in January can present an assessment based on the preceding year. Calling it proof of performance throughout the new year would add a period that was never reviewed.

Keep the claim in scope

Historical recognition should remain discoverable without being presented as a current assessment.

Research and editorial context

An award claim needs the programme name, assessed entity, category and edition. Read the recognition process with the result. WCRC separates research qualification from optional commercial participation; communications and attendance cannot create or alter a research outcome.

Examples illustrate a decision and do not describe a named organisation's conduct. This is a reference note, not a new research finding or an award outcome.
