Research independence
Evaluation determines qualification and standing. Commercial participation never determines the outcome.
Eligibility and standing
An organisation's eligibility comes from the property's defined universe. Its rank or qualification comes from the published evaluation. Neither inclusion nor a favourable outcome should depend on commissioning services, attending an event or buying a reputation package.
This principle applies across WCRC's research and recognition portfolio. The evidence and procedures for an individual edition should be read on that edition's own pages.
Commercial services
Research engagements, intelligence reports, editorial services and reputation activation have a separate commercial purpose. Their scope should be explicit. A service agreement cannot confer a rank, change an evaluation or replace the research needed to qualify.
WCRC 1000 company services are independent of inclusion and rank. Its market-capitalisation ranking and its company-service pages remain separate.
Disclosures and questions
Conflicts, sponsorship relationships and the role of commercial participation should be disclosed where relevant. Readers should be able to identify the method, evidence and people responsible for an edition without inferring independence from a marketing claim.
Questions about an outcome should identify the property, edition and entry. Include the evidence or correction requested so the research team can examine the specific issue.
