What to review
Find the organiser, assessment period and exact recipient. Read the category definition before repeating the title. Ask where the decision and its evidence can be checked.
A practical example
A company recognised for customer service should describe that category precisely. Extending the title to product quality would require separate evidence that the original assessment may never have collected.
Keep the claim in scope
Keep an award claim as narrow as the finding that supports it. An impressive event photograph cannot expand an assessment's scope.
Research and editorial context
An award claim needs the programme name, assessed entity, category and edition. Read the recognition process with the result. WCRC separates research qualification from optional commercial participation; communications and attendance cannot create or alter a research outcome.
Examples illustrate a decision and do not describe a named organisation's conduct. This is a reference note, not a new research finding or an award outcome.
