Recognition A–Z / Awards and recognition

Choosing a credible recognition programme

A useful programme is one whose research question and decision process fit the achievement you want evaluated. Familiar branding alone cannot establish that fit.

What to review

Compare eligibility, evidence requirements, result format, independence and correction routes. Read the actual methodology before considering optional communication services.

A practical example

A company seeking feedback about workplace culture needs a relevant employee-evidence method. An enterprise-value ranking would answer a different question even if both are described as business recognition.

Keep the claim in scope

Use the same questions for every programme. A blanket claim that one organiser is universally best needs a comparison that this guide does not make.

Research and editorial context

An award claim needs the programme name, assessed entity, category and edition. Read the recognition process with the result. WCRC separates research qualification from optional commercial participation; communications and attendance cannot create or alter a research outcome.

Examples illustrate a decision and do not describe a named organisation's conduct. This is a reference note, not a new research finding or an award outcome.
