Recognition A–Z / Business and management

Management review and follow-through

A review is useful when it produces a clear decision and a later check on what happened. Reporting activity alone can leave the original question unresolved.

What to review

Record the decision, responsible person and next review condition. Close or revise actions when evidence changes.

A practical example

A repeated discussion about customer complaints should identify which process change was authorised and whether it addressed the specific problem.

Keep the claim in scope

Do not equate a full action tracker with effective management. The work needs a result that can be examined.

Research and editorial context

A useful management framework makes a decision easier to examine. It should identify its assumptions and the evidence needed to challenge them. These notes are practical WCRC interpretation, not measured outcomes or recommendations for investing in a particular company.

Examples illustrate a decision and do not describe a named organisation's conduct. This is a reference note, not a new research finding or an award outcome.
