What to review
Check whether every input covers the intended period. Record exceptions and explain material changes that occurred after the cut-off.
A practical example
A company may report a new initiative after a study closes. That initiative can be noted as subsequent context, but should not silently be added to the earlier assessment.
Keep the claim in scope
Consistency of dates matters before comparisons are made. A current headline should not hide older evidence.
Research and editorial context
A result is meaningful within its methodology. Match the research question, assessed universe and measurement period before making a comparison. These reference notes explain evaluation concepts; they do not add indicators, weights or thresholds to any published WCRC study.
Examples illustrate a decision and do not describe a named organisation's conduct. This is a reference note, not a new research finding or an award outcome.
