Price Power Model
How much premium can our brand charge before buyers switch?
What it is
Estimates the price premium the brand's power can carry, using preference, quality belief, difference and trust.
Built on the WCRC 50-parameter model · parameters used
- P2.4First-choice preference
- P3.1Perceived quality
- P1.4Differentiation index
- P2.10Competitive trust differential
Components
- Preference strength
- Quality belief
- Difference
- Trust lead
How it is scored
Price headroom index = weighted mean of the four, mapped to a premium band against the category median price.
Where and when to apply
- Before a price increase
- Launching a premium range
- Defending against discounting competitors
Simulation · what-if
Each 5 points on the index moves the brand one headroom band. Lifting quality belief by 5 points adds 1.25: a brand at 74 moves to 75.25 and from "+5–10%" to "+10–15%" indicative premium headroom.
Indicative, all else unchanged. Your actual reading comes from a WCRC assessment.
