What to review
Read who evaluates the evidence and how decisions are reviewed. If independence or expertise is claimed, look for information that explains it rather than assuming a universal jury process.
A practical example
A research-led programme using an internal senior review should be described that way. Adding an external jury because readers expect one would create a false account.
Keep the claim in scope
Use programme-specific language. This guide does not assert that every WCRC property uses a jury.
Research and editorial context
An award claim needs the programme name, assessed entity, category and edition. Read the recognition process with the result. WCRC separates research qualification from optional commercial participation; communications and attendance cannot create or alter a research outcome.
Examples illustrate a decision and do not describe a named organisation's conduct. This is a reference note, not a new research finding or an award outcome.
