Recognition A–Z / Business publishing

Executive profiles and evidence

An executive profile tells readers about a person's work and experience. Material claims still need accurate attribution and supporting context.

What to review

Verify roles, dates and the source of achievements. Distinguish the subject's account from facts checked through other records.

A practical example

A leader describing a growth initiative can explain their intentions. Public results and the work of other teams may be needed to assess the outcome.

Keep the claim in scope

An editorial profile does not itself establish qualification for recognition or an independent research result.

Research and editorial context

Readers should be able to distinguish reporting, analysis and commissioned communication. Read sources and disclosures before treating an article as evidence for a comparative claim. The guides here do not rank publishers or promise coverage, audience growth or search placement.

Examples illustrate a decision and do not describe a named organisation's conduct. This is a reference note, not a new research finding or an award outcome.
