What to review
Read which characteristics were used and the population reference behind them. Check whether weighting is disclosed and whether sample limits remain clear.
A practical example
A survey weighted by age may still have gaps in occupational coverage. Correcting one distribution does not establish that every subgroup is well represented.
Keep the claim in scope
Do not assume weighted means representative. Keep the actual method and the remaining limitations available to readers.
Research and editorial context
A result is meaningful within its methodology. Match the research question, assessed universe and measurement period before making a comparison. These reference notes explain evaluation concepts; they do not add indicators, weights or thresholds to any published WCRC study.
Examples illustrate a decision and do not describe a named organisation's conduct. This is a reference note, not a new research finding or an award outcome.
