ADP

ADP (Automatic Data Processing) is a US provider of payroll, human capital management and PEO services for employers, listed on Nasdaq. In the fiscal year to June 2025 it reported revenue of US$20.6bn, up 7.1%, and net earnings of US$4.08bn. It serves about 1.1 million clients and reports client retention of 92.1%. Its widely cited monthly ADP National Employment Report gives the brand media reach well beyond its business customer base. WCRC's research found its greatest strengths in financial stability, as one of the few US companies rated AA- by S&P and Fitch and Aa3 by Moody's, in client loyalty and in thought leadership through its employment data.

What WCRC found

  1. Exceptional financial stability, holding Aa3 from Moody's and AA- from both S&P and Fitch.

  2. Strong client loyalty, with measured retention of 92.1% across about 1.1 million clients.

  3. Thought leadership through the ADP National Employment Report, a closely followed monthly read on US hiring.

What holds it back: As a business-to-business brand, ADP shows little visible consumer review data and limited marketing reach, so its campaigns and online reputation carry less weight than its operations.
