WCRC Researched Brand · World's Most Powerful Brands 2026 · Second Global Mega Edition

Trip.com

Trip.com is the flagship brand of Trip.com Group Limited, China's largest online travel agency, which also operates Ctrip and Skyscanner. The group is listed in New York and Hong Kong and has been expanding well beyond China through the Trip.com brand. It reported revenue of CNY 62.4 billion, with net revenue up 17% and international bookings growing by around 60%, and net income of CNY 33.3 billion including a one-off gain. Its business is digital from end to end, from search and booking to customer service through its apps and websites. WCRC's research found Trip.com strongest in digital commerce capability, in the technology behind its service delivery and its pace of digital innovation, and in rising purchase intent as travellers outside China adopt the brand.

What WCRC found

  1. Digital commerce at its core: the Trip.com, Ctrip and Skyscanner platforms are the business itself.

  2. Rising purchase intent, with net revenue up 17% and international bookings up around 60%.

  3. First choice for many travellers in China as the country's largest online travel agency.

What holds it back: WCRC found little published evidence on sustainability communication, and as a Chinese platform it remains exposed to shifts in national platform regulation.
