Boeing

Boeing is the US aerospace company founded in 1916 and headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, making commercial aircraft, defence systems and space technology. It is the largest US exporter. Revenue was US$89.5bn in 2025, when it returned to profit with net income of US$2.24bn. 2026 brought signs of recovery: the FAA certified the 737-10 after nearly 1,000 test flights, the US Navy selected Boeing for the F/A-XX fighter, China committed to buy 200 aircraft, and Turkish Airlines and Korean Air placed large orders. WCRC's research found Boeing strongest in recall and demand. It is universally known and top of mind as an aircraft maker, and fleet commonality keeps airline customers loyal.

What WCRC found

  1. Universal recognition, top of mind as an aircraft maker worldwide.

  2. Strong order demand in 2026, including commitments from China for 200 aircraft and Korean Air for 103.

  3. A broad portfolio across commercial aircraft, defence and space, with the 2026 F/A-XX fighter selection.

What holds it back: Trust remains badly damaged by the 737 MAX crashes and 2024 door-plug blowout, alongside a US$2.5bn fraud settlement and a DOJ criminal investigation.
