Tata Motors
Tata Motors is an Indian vehicle maker headquartered in Mumbai, founded in 1945 and part of the Tata Group. Its demerger took effect on 1 October 2025, creating Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, which includes Jaguar Land Rover, and a separately listed commercial-vehicle company. In FY26 it reported record domestic passenger-vehicle wholesales of 6.42 lakh units, up 15%, and a high of 92,000 electric vehicle sales, making it India's electric vehicle leader. WCRC's research found the brand strongest in media presence and industry standing, and its domestic demand is clear. A cyber incident at Jaguar Land Rover forced a five-week shutdown, and JLR revenue fell 20.9% to GBP22.9bn in FY26.
