#10 Ferrari
Ferrari is ranked #10 in the WCRC World's Most Powerful 100 Brands 2026, with a WCRC Power Score of 81.33. It is the highest-ranked automotive brand in the edition, built on a prancing-horse identity, racing heritage and a scarcity model that keeps demand ahead of supply.

How the Power Score adds up
Each pillar's score multiplied by its WCRC weight. The segments sum to 81.33.
Ferrari sells only a few thousand cars a year, yet few brands on earth are as instantly recognised. That gap between size and fame is the core of its power. Ferrari scores 88.5 on Brand Positioning & Recall, the highest of any automotive brand in the WCRC World's Most Powerful 100 Brands 2026, with near-perfect results for Visual Identity Distinctiveness (98), Positioning Clarity & Coherence (96) and Brand Differentiation Index (96). The prancing horse and Rosso Corsa red need no caption, and the racing team gives the road cars a story no rival can buy.
Trust is the second pillar of strength. Ferrari scores 82.4 on Consumer Trust & Sentiment, again first among car brands. Its allocation model rewards repeat buyers, so loyalty is built into the way cars are sold, and the Tifosi turn every race weekend into free advocacy. On the track, Ferrari won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2025, its 12th overall victory, and took the World Endurance Championship manufacturers' and drivers' titles; Lewis Hamilton drives for Scuderia Ferrari in 2026.
Scarcity also pays. Net revenues rose 7% to EUR7,146m in 2025, EBIT grew 12% to EUR2,110m and net profit reached EUR1,600m, an operating margin of 29.5% that most carmakers cannot approach. The test in 2026 is electrification. The Ferrari Luce, the first fully electric Ferrari, designed with LoveFrom, divided fans when it was revealed in May, yet its first allocation of 88 cars for China sold out. Sustainability, Governance & ESG, at 67.8, is the pillar where Ferrari has the most room to improve.
Why Ferrari ranks #10
Ferrari's three highest WCRC parameters all sit in Brand Positioning & Recall: a mark everyone knows, a position nobody shares and a business model no competitor has copied.
1.10Visual Identity Distinctiveness98
Visual Identity Distinctiveness: the prancing horse and Rosso Corsa red are recognised without a word of text, and Ferrari scores 98 here, one of the highest results in the edition.
1.01Positioning Clarity & Coherence96
Positioning Clarity & Coherence: Ferrari has stood for ultra-luxury performance proven on the track for decades, and the 2025 Le Mans win kept that promise concrete.
1.04Brand Differentiation Index96
Brand Differentiation Index: no other carmaker combines a Formula 1 team with deliberately limited production, so even Ferrari's first electric car sold out its initial China allocation of 88 units.
The Achilles' heel
2.09Sentiment Trajectory (12-Month Trend)74
WCRC flags Sentiment Trajectory (12-Month Trend) as Ferrari's Achilles heel, at 74. The reveal of the electric Ferrari Luce in May 2026 drew strong criticism from fans and a former chairman, and the shares fell 8.4% the next day before recovering.
What would move it: Letting owners drive the Luce and judge it on the road, while keeping the V12 and hybrid range clearly in the line-up, would show that electrification adds to the Ferrari story rather than replacing it.
The 2026 story
Ferrari's 2026 began on the back of another record year. Net revenues rose 7% to EUR7,146m in 2025 and net profit rose 5% to EUR1,600m, while the racing side won Le Mans for the 12th time and the World Endurance Championship titles.
The defining moment came on 25 May, when Ferrari revealed the Luce, its first fully electric car, priced at around EUR550,000 and designed with Jony Ive's studio LoveFrom. The design split opinion and the shares fell 8.4% the following day, but the first China allocation of 88 cars sold out and European deliveries are due from the fourth quarter of 2026.
The risk for Ferrari is not demand but meaning. Its brand rests on sound, speed and heritage, and the Elettrica platform previewed in October 2025 has to carry that into a quieter era. With Lewis Hamilton racing in red in 2026, the brand has plenty of attention to work with.
