    Ranked by equity market capitalisation.

Tie-breaks, the validation band, the measures that are published but do not rank, and what the ranking cannot tell you.

    Sorting and tie-breaks

Companies are sorted by the unrounded period average, descending. A true tie at available precision is broken by the higher 31 December full market capitalisation, then by a documented deterministic tie-break. A tie that appears only after rounding is not a real tie. No tie arose in this edition.

    The validation band

Market capitalisation is calculated for every eligible main-board company, not only the 1,000 shortlisted names. An internal top-1,500 watch universe is maintained, at least the top 1,200 are validated, and ranks 950–1,050 receive heightened human review — because that is where a small data error would change membership of the list.

    What the ranking is not

    • It is not a measure of quality, governance, performance or prospects.
    • It is not a valuation opinion. Market capitalisation is what the market paid, not what a company is worth.
    • It is not a measure of India's total enterprise wealth: cross-holdings mean the sum double-counts.
    • It is not current. The window closed on 31 December 2025.
    • It is not the official exchange or SEBI list, and it determines no company's regulatory obligations.

WCRC 1000 – India's Most Valuable Enterprises™ ranks eligible India-incorporated NSE/BSE main-board companies by average full ordinary-equity market capitalisation over 1 July – 31 December 2025 (the mean of NSE and BSE averages; Inaugural Edition source values from AMFI's half-yearly list, with WCRC eligibility and price-integrity rules applied). It is not the official exchange or SEBI list and does not determine any company's regulatory obligations. Full market capitalisation includes promoter and government holdings; parent and listed subsidiaries are ranked separately. Values relate to the stated period only. No company can pay for inclusion or rank. Nothing on this site is investment advice, a recommendation or a forecast. Inaugural Edition — pre-assurance.
